She was buried at Marlborough, in Spring Hill Cemetery^56,3. Note that the recorded age at death of Lydia W. Howe, like the implied age of Lydia the mother of John Howe's children, is inconsistent with the recorded birth of our Lydia Rice Williams. One possible explanation would be an error in the recorded birth, but another would be that a completely different Lydia Williams is the one who married John Howe.

She married Capt. John HOWE 1 May 1800 at Marlborough, listed as John Howe 3d (WARD has reservations about this identification)^{3,1 {p139}}.
